The President, Mª Eugènia Gay

Holder of a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona-Abat Oliba CEU University and a Master’s Degree in Mediation from the Barcelona Bar Association.

Since July 2020, she is President of the Consell de l´Advocacia Catalana (CICAC), an organization that represents all the Catalan Bar Associations.

President of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB), vice-president of the Spanish National Bar Council (CGAE), president of the Spanish Bar Council’s International Relations Committee, president of the Spanish Chapter of the World Jurist Association (WJA), president of the Mediation Commission of the European Bars Federation (FBE) and director for Collective Members of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA).

Founding partner of the law firm Gay-Rosell & Solano. Specialised in civil procedural law and practising lawyer in the fields of family law, inheritance law, civil liability, registry law, associations, foundations and professional associations.

Member of the Catalan Association of Inheritance Law Experts (ACEDS) and the Catalan Association of Democratic Jurists (ACJD). She is also member of the Advisory Council and Legal Committee at Foment del Treball Nacional.

During her time as Council Member of the Bar, under the Presidency of Silvia Giménez-Salinas (2005-2009), she served as Responsible for the International Relations. From 2010 to 2016, she held the position of vice-president in ICAB’s Civil Law Section.

She has worked as a form teacher in Civil Law at the School of Legal Practice and lecturer in the Master’s Degree in Civil Procedural Law and the job placement programme for female students at ESADE and Pompeu Fabra University. 

She is founder of Women Business & Justice, which aims nurturing and promoting the professional ties of women in the areas of Justice and enterprise with the civil society.
